About the Book

Preface As you will read I have told my personal dyslexic story as a dyslexic child and adult to many people for many years now. Moreover my experienced of the lack of education can be told by countless other people in many different educational environments and situations. Everyone I have shared my story with, barring none has been amazed and at times I have been met with absolute disbelief. Especially when I go on to tell them the types of employment and further education I have gone on to experience. These consist of 2 degrees and I teach secondary school children Design Technology, Home economics up to Key stage 5. Then at the age of about 11 years old thing drastically changed when I got to senior high school and didn't get any better by the time I got to Secondary school in 1975; as a matter of fact things were much worse though it wasn't until I got into my early 20's and I reflect on my time at school that I realise how dreadful things really were when...
