C'è Mister Thunder, ci sono Polifemo, Aci e Galatea. Mentre Saverio il chitarrista e Francesco il sassofonista si giocano a dadi, nel rifugio oscuro del golfo mistico, il futuro musicale del piccolo Rocco la cui attenzione si concentra su danzatrici balinesi e danza brasiliane sperando di carpire il proprio futuro dentro a una sfera di cristallo o nei fondi di caffè e nei semi di frutta di Madame Oculus. In mezzo a loro, gli stivali anelati del
Gaucho argentino, la Tunisia di Mahmud il fachiro, Lola l'Ammazzasette e Giuseppina in arte Giusy, fino all'incontro
con Desert Rose. Questo è l'Olimpo di Rocco, mentre il mondo intorno a lui e a noi cambia. O forse
si tratta soltanto di un'illusione. A mantenere un po' di ordine rimane Nina, e il rosario recitato con le suore sembra
diventare uno dei momenti più belli e sereni di una vorticosa giornata. Le stagioni si alternano come i personaggi che ruotano intorno a Rocco. E sembra di sentirlo l'odore forte delle stagioni che passano. E sembra di sentirlo il profumo del
mare e il sapore del sale, che solo un ritorno a Trapani ti sanno regalare.
