About the Book

Sullivan County has a beyond thriving rabbit population. The Hobbs family farm, White House purveyor since 1897, is patrolled by fifteen and seven eights inch beagle, the seventh generation of its line. The beagle, born with a cannon ball thick scull, and teeth he honed on deer bones, is a canine assassin, who makes friends with his sworn enemy, a Flemish hare, a scholarly rabbit, tailored by nature in the worse fitting fur imaginable.
About the Author: Kevin Moccia, born in Trenton, Michigan, New York City, UWS resident 40 years. The Author is a graduate of the National Shakespeare Conservatory, where he learned actor survival techniques from Hell's Kitchen prodigy Philip Meister. The authors other book, "When The Furniture Comes", a NYC construction tale of a Herculean day laborer, part of the Gotham Minors, a triumvirate of brains, power and cojones, that work exclusively in neighborhoods where it is forbidden to use jackhammers. The Gotham Minors remove schist from NYC and Brooklyn Brownstone basements, using specific mauls and different weighted sledgehammers. The Gotham Minors are mythic tradesmen, they remove the schist, which is impossible to penetrate, one strategic, chess-like blow at a time. The muscle of the crew, a Mexican laborer, who strikes the foreman's maul with a one-hundred-and-twenty-pound sledgehammer, goes missing on a job site in New Jersey over the holiday weekend and his foreman, maul holder, Umberto, a sixty three year old Puerto Rican from the Bronx, goes looking for him. The third member that makes up the Gotham Minor's crew, is an intellectual socialite defector from Marida. A brilliant scholar who has escaped to America running from the shadow of his publically acclaimed, skirt-chasing father. "When the Furniture Comes", is an allegory about the death of the working class. A comedic drama, this Manhattan construction tale is spun through the lives of many tradesmen, coping and struggling amid the absurdity of modern times. Authors full length plays: "Winter's Harvest","King Me!", "No Gas", "Shrove Tuesday", "Anatole's Leg", "The Page", "The Last Vineyard:2154", "Sinon, The Unicorn Salesmen". The Author performed on Broadway in the 1986 Tony Award Winning Play, "I'm Not Rappaport". Films: PVT Chat, Crypto, Snitches, Lions Den. Co-Artistic Director, The Bach Dor Theater Company.
