About the Author: Rev. Dr. James Commodore Wade, Jr., a native of Memphis, Tennessee grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior as a child. Shortly after his ordination, he was called to pastor Samaria Baptist Church in Van Alstyne, Texas. After leaving Samaria Baptist Church in 1964, Rev. Dr. Wade, Jr. became pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Van Buren, Arkansas. He remained there until the following year when the Lord called him to take the helm at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in East Chicago, Indiana. Rev. Wade served as pastor for 45 years until his retirement on October 31, 2010. Rev. Dr. Wade, Jr. continues to serve in the position of Pastor Emeritus at Zion Missionary Baptist Church . Rev. Dr. Wade, Jr. also serves as Pastor Emeritus of Greater Destiny Bible Church in East Chicago; a title bestowed upon him by Pastor Kelly Williams. Rev. Dr. Wade, Jr.'s obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree, from Bishop College, Dallas, Texas and a Bachelor of Theology from Indiana Christian Bible College in Gary, Indiana. He went on to earn a Master of Religious Education and Doctor of Bible Theology, from International Bible Institute and Seminary in Orlando, Florida. In recognition of his significant contributions to the Christian community, an Honorary Doctor of Divinity was bestowed upon him by GMOR Theological Institute in Gary, Indiana. Rev. Dr. Wade, Jr. has taken his ministry beyond the United States through his extensive studies in Oxford, England as well as making three pilgrimages to the Holy Land where he also preached. Rev. Dr. Wade, Jr. continues to serve as an international evangelist. Rev. Dr. Wade, Jr. is the former President of the General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Indiana, Inc. and State Vice President of the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc. He is co-author of These Three, Volume I, II, and III. In May 1994, Rev. Dr. Wade, Jr. was honored with a proclamation from the City of East Chicago, Indiana. In May 2000, the City of East Chicago dedicated and renamed Drummond Street to "Rev. Dr. J.C. Wade, Jr. Street" for his many years of service and dedication to the community. Currently, Rev. Dr. Wade, Jr. continues to reside with his wife, Mrs. Ella Wade, in East Chicago, Indiana. They are the proud parents of three children. Rev.
