    About the Author: Stavros Mastrogiannis, founder of Olympus Personal Training & Weight Management Center in Danbury, Connecticut, has been working in the weight loss field since 1993, empowering clients with a unique, life-changing perspective. Stavros resided in Greece for 12 years before moving to the United States in 1987. After moving to the U.S., Stavros continued to visit Greece where, over time, he observed changes in Greek eating habits, exercise habits, and daily living, resulting in a national weight problem similar to that which exists in the U.S. At age 21, Stavros made the decision to shift gears, from the pursuit of a career in preparing fine cuisine, to the weight loss and fitness profession, where felt he could make a difference in peoples' lives. Stavros founded Olympus Personal Training & Weight Management Center in 1996.
