About the Author: Scott Neil is an award-winning British journalist and writer, who began his newspaper career in 1990. In 1995 he was jointly awarded the Scheibel Award by the journalism department of Los Angeles Pierce College, and was named a regional Reporter of the Year by Southern Newspapers in the United Kingdom in 1998. He has worked for regional and local newspapers in the UK, including the Daily Echo in Bournemouth, the Basingstoke Gazette and the Coalville Times, and also occasional shifts for the UK's biggest selling daily newspaper The Sun. In 1987, he published 'Inspired' - a paperback collection of stories and poems by five young writers. A keen runner since 1980, in the UK he reached the Leicestershire Schools' County Championship finals as a 1,500m runner in 1983, has captained Dorset's largest running club Poole Runners and continues to compete in road races today. He assisted as consultant script editor for Bermuda's award-winning environmental TV documentary series EnviroShorts in 2007. Over the years he has lived, worked or studied in the UK, Australia, the USA and Russia. He currently resides in Bermuda where he is a senior journalist and sub-editor for the national daily newspaper The Royal Gazette.
