About the Book

Even Cinderella and Prince Charming hit a bit of road work on the way to the castle. For Megan and Chris, the first major pothole they hit is teen pregnancy. Meeting in their high school American History class, they are instantly in love. Megan's mother, however, has other ideas for her daughter's future that don't include wasting it on boys and homemaking. As they navigate past their bumpy start into adulthood together, they take on parenthood on a large scale, mixing foster children in with their own growing brood along the way. Chris becomes a child psychologist, referring to the foster children as bringing his work home with him. Megan is a novelist, until she hits a crippling writer's block that penetrates to the core of her personal identity. Facing family illnesses, infidelity, and the death of a child, the story of their marriage shows that enough love can get one through the roughest patches. Eaton House is the first book in a series chronicling the Eaton family saga from Chris and Megan's first encounter through the next two generations.
