Ecopoetics: Essays in the Field makes a formidable intervention into the emerging field of ecopoetics. The volume's essays model new and provocative methods for reading twentieth and twenty-first century ecological poetry and poetics, drawing on the insights of ecocriticism, contemporary philosophy, gender and sexuality studies, black studies, Native studies, critical race theory, and disability studies, among others.

About the Author: Angela Hume is assistant professor of English, creative writing, and environmental literature and theory at the University of Minnesota, Morris. Hume is the author of the poetry chapbooks Melos, The Middle, and Second Story of Your Body, and the book of poetry Middle Time. She lives in both Morris and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Gillian Osborne is an instructor and curriculum advisor for the Poetry in America project at Harvard. Her essays, poems, and reviews have appeared in such journals as the Boston Review, Believer, Critical Flame, New Inquiry, Threepenny Review, and Volt. Osborne lives in Somerville, Massachusetts.
