A rising expert in the analysis of educational and character development issues, Debelak has had a number of his writings published in peer-reviewed journals and has spoken on these matters at conferences across the globe, as well as on a one-on-one basis with countless individuals.
In 1984, along with his wife, Helene, Debelak co-founded Birchwood School, a K-8 private, independent school in Cleveland, Ohio. It was through his day-to-day work at Birchwood, synthesizing history, research, and experience, that Debelak developed his unique, practical perspective and learned what does and does not work when it comes to education.
