An Ad hoc wireless network is infrastructure less, multi hop radio
relaying without centralized routing. An Ad hoc network has mobile
computing nodes distributed randomly in a specified area and are
characterized by energy, node ID and node expiry time. The
communication between nodes is based on wireless trans-reception
without fixed infrastructure is discussed in chapter 1. In chapter 2
survey on existing methods of MAC protocols, routing techniques,
service discovery and QoS provisioning techniques are referred. The
effective communication is achieved by wireless Ad hoc network. The
Performance Comparison of Protocols for Firefighters (PCPFF) for fire
rescue operation is proposed in chapter 3 in which both Wireless
Sensor network and Ad Hoc network are combined. The model helps
in effective area coverage by indicating the path i, e., already been used
and provides a reliable lifeline to firefighters. This provides an effective
interaction between the nodes to save the firefighters when they are in
distress or when there is no lifeline. It is observed that the
performance of AODV is better when compared to AOMDV and DSDV.
