About the Book
Once-upon-time, Albert Einstein said it. The Dalai Lama, and a quantum physicist in the fields of theoretical physics, neuropsychology and philosophy agreed. Ego mind is a desert of time. In this regard, here is are pages 5 and 9.
"The Twins Paradox"
"Eastern Spiritual Philosophy,
Einstein's Theory Of Relativity,
Birth, Death, And Aging" Below is an excerpt (pages 58-60) from the book "The Universe In A Single Atom" by the Dalai Lama. It regards our perception of time, and thus, birth, death, and aging. It was explained too the Dalai Lama by David Bohm, an American-born British quantum physicist who was a leading expert in the fields of theoretical physics, neuropsychology and philosophy. "If one twin were to fly aboard a spaceship at near the speed of light to a star say 20 light years away and then return to earth, he will find his twin to be 20 years older than he is. As I understand it, the most important implication of Einstein's theory of relativity is . . . there is no real time . . . that has an existence of its own."
Dalai Lama Therefore, when we witness the sun rise, we are seeing something that happened in the past - something that happened an average of 8 minutes and 20 seconds ago. It took the sun's light that long to get to earth! Consider that the sunlight traveled at the speed of light, or 186,000 miles per second. If we could fly at that speed we would go around the earth about 7.5 times in one-second."
Dearest reader, I'm writing this for both of us.
This book is written for the Beatles, Bob Dylan generations, and those of a similar mind set. It picks up from when Bob Dylan sang the answer was blowing in the wind. Bob was half right. The answer is blowing in the mind.
This book contains short bursts of random thoughts regarding both ego mind and Original Mind. They can be read and re-read for spiritual inspiration. This is a small book and may be taken with you for daily reflection.
Ego minds opposite in all methods of expression is love, is Original Mind. Original Mind is free of any identification with all physical form and therefore has no opposite.
The ego mind is a shared human accumulation - meaning we each share it - even though we each have our own version - of past historical thought systems that are not of peaceful or loving origination. Thus, they manifest as fearful, conflicted, perpetually defensive, historically conditioned thought systems that unceasingly direct human form and behavior.
Becoming an observer of both thought systems, with faith, and usually with uphill perseverance, gradually, lovingly, gently, we can each teach ourselves a method to "choose" which thought system we want to identify with: Peace or the ego. And thus we "consciously choose" the life we want to live. The method used is our choice.
