Fachbuch aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Ägyptologie, Note: keine, Veranstaltung: Vortrag, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Es handelt sich bei der Jenseitsliteratur, von den Pyramidentexten bis zu den Unterweltsbüchern, um Schriften für den Verstorbenen, die ihm zur Wiedergeburt verhelfen sollten. Es gibt zwar viele Arbeiten, die sich mit diesen Texten beschäftigen, aber praktisch keine, die sich mit der Frage auseinander setzen, woher das spezielle Wissen, das in der Jenseitsliteratur verarbeitet wurde, stammt. Erik Hornung ist einer der wenigen Ägyptologen, die diese Frage konkret beantworten. Seiner Meinung nach stammt dieses Wissen aus dem kollektiven Unbewussten. Er bezieht sich bei seiner Deutung auf die Psychologie Carl Gustav Jungs. Zu einem ähnlichen Schluss gelangt auch Jan Assmann, der ebenfalls meint, dass die Informationen aus dem Unbewussten stammen. Er richtet sich bei seiner Deutung aber nach Aspekten der Psychologie Sigmund Freuds. Beide Interpretationen basieren also auf zwei unterschiedlichen tiefenpsychologischen Sichtweisen. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit, diese Texte aus schamanischer Sicht zu deuten. Der Schamane 2 begibt sich mittels bestimmter Techniken auf Seelenreise, um sich im jenseitigen Bereich um die Seele des Verstorbenen zu kümmern. Er sucht sie, fängt sie ein, begleitet sie, beschützt sie, bringt sie zurück oder weist ihr den Weg. Ich denke, dass es im Alten Ägypten Schamanismus gab, der aber im frühen Alten Reich aus dem institutionalisierten Kult verdrängt wurde. [...]
About the Author: Beginn des Ägyptologie-Studiums 1987 in Heidelberg bei Jan Assmann (Vorderasiatische Archäologie und Ethnologie als Nebenfächer). Abschluss des Ägyptologie-Studiums 1994 in Hamburg bei Hartwig Altenmüller als Magistra Artium (Ethnologie als zweites Hauptfach). Mitarbeiterin bei Ausgrabungen des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts im Totenkulttempel Sethos I. in Theben-West 1992 und 1993 (Leitung: Rainer Stadelmann), sowie bei Ausgrabungen der Pennsylvania-Yale-Expedition to Abydos 1994 im Totenkulttempel Sestostris III. in Abydos (Leitung: David O'Connor). Später u.a. Begleitung von Studienreisen nach Ägypten und bis 2012 Autorin für das Ägyptenmagazin Kemet.
