BURGESS impartió clases en G.E.D, E.S.L., y un curso de capacitación profesional de asistente administrativo. Ha trabajado como gestora de impuestos por cuenta propia, actualmente trabaja para el gobierno de la ciudad de Nueva York. Completó su primer guión "Kaleb and Pasha" en 2009 y autoeditó su primer libro de poesía, "The Age of The Caterpillar" en 2013. Tiene una licenciatura en inglés por Columbia University (Universidad de Colombia) y una M.B.A. (Máster en Administración de Empresas) con especialidad en finanzas. Vive en Nueva York.M.J. BURGESS taught classes in G.E.D., E.S.L., and an Administrative Assistant career-training course. She also worked as a self-employed tax preparer. She worked for the New York State government and currently works for the New York City government. She completed her first screenplay "Kaleb and Pasha" in 2009 and self-published her first book of poetry, The Age of The Caterpillar in 2013. She has a Bachelor's Degree in English from Columbia University and a M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management. She lives in New York City.
