About the Book

About the Author: Sixto de la Llave Casillas, nació el 31 de marzo de 1961 en El Puente del Arzobispo (Toledo), donde actualmente reside junto con su esposa y sus tres hijos. Sus estudios se desarrollan en lugares tan variopintos como el colegio público de su pueblo natal, la Universidad Laboral de Cheste, la Plataforma de Teleformación de JCCM del Parque Tecnológico de Albacete, el European Software Institute. Para acabar en la UNED (Grado de Geografía e Historia). Actualmente trabaja para la Delegación de Bienestar y Asuntos Sociales de la Junta de Comunidades de Castilla La Mancha aunque antes prestó sus servicios durante seis años en Educación. Está acreditado como Investigador de la Biblioteca Nacional de España; su afición por la historia de su tierra y de sus gentes le hace plasmar pasajes históricos locales en las narraciones que escribe. Comprometido con la educación se afana en la transmisión de valores por distintos medios. Ha colaborado en revistas como AGUA ZARCA editada por el Museo Etnográfico de Herreruela. Preside la asociación cultural LA ZÚA. Premiado por su poesía: en Valdeverdeja (Toledo) 2005, en El Bohonal de Ibor (Cáceres) 2006 y por sus relatos cortos: en 2004 en El Gordo (Cáceres), 2005 Valdeverdeja (Toledo). También ha sido seleccionado finalista en otros como el "Certamen Literario Villa de Mendavia (Navarra)". Sus publicaciones más conocidas son: en narrativa "Seis Relatos Cortos para un Río Largo" y en poesía el poemario titulado "Como agua brotando de la roca".
