De una fe simple y llana en un día mejor, en un después sin la mala suerte de saber que la ilusión ha terminado. Esta novela es una novela disidente. Una novela que diside por el claro principio de la inconformidad, de la rebeldía que alienta las grandes causas humanas. Una disidencia que no remite a actos valientes, a poses heroicas, a suicidios altisonantes. Por el contrario; la novela fluye como un río de pocas aguas, sin saltos ni fuertes corrientes, como si en ese fluir leve y calmo, pero continuo, residiera toda la agresividad de su permanencia. About the Author: Ulises Cala (Pinar del Río, Cuba,1955). Dramaturgo y narrador. Miembro de la Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba. Trabaja en la editorial Cauce de la UNEAC en Pinar del Río, donde edita la revista del mismo nombre. Ha obtenido premios en diferentes certámenes literarios, entre ellos: Premio Hermanos Loynaz 1993, Cuba (Teatro); Premio Pinos Nuevos 1995, Cuba (Teatro); Premio UNEAC 2002, Cuba (Novela); Textes en parole 2008, Guadalupe (Teatro); Premio Alcorta 2012, Cuba (Teatro); resultó finalista en el concurso Casa de América de Dramaturgia Innovadora 2005, España, con la pieza La otra orilla; Premio al mejor texto, Festival Internacional de Teatro de Pequeño Formato de Miami 2011 y 2013. Tiene publicados los siguientes libros: Ciertas tristísimas historias de amor (teatro), Editorial Letras Cubanas, 1996. Sombras y otras sombras (teatro), Editorial Hermanos Loynaz, 1997. El pasajero (novela), Editora UNION, 2002. Poemas del hijo pródigo (poesía), Editorial Cauce, 2003. El traje y otras Sombras (teatro) Editorial Hermanos Loynaz, 2014. La otra orilla aparece en Teatro Americano Actual, Casa de América, Madrid, 2004 y en revista Tablas No 4/2005, Cuba. Figura en las antologías de narrativa: Entre los poros y las estrellas, Editora Abril, 2012 y Por los extraños pueblos, Editora UNION, 2012. Es autor de la antología Hacer el cuento, Editorial Cauce, 2013. Ha publicado cuentos, piezas teatrales y artículos críticos en diferentes revistas.
