About the Author: Prof. Dr. Mario A. Pfannstiel ist Professor für Betriebswirtschaftslehre im Gesundheitswesen, insbesondere innovative Dienstleistungen und Services an der Hochschule Neu-Ulm. Er besitzt ein Diplom der Fachhochschule Nordhausen im Bereich "Sozialmanagement" mit dem Vertiefungsfach "Finanzmanagement", einen M.Sc.-Abschluss der Dresden International University in Patientenmanagement und einen M.A.-Abschluss der Technischen Universität Kaiserslautern und der Universität Witten/ Herdecke im Management von Gesundheits- und Sozialeinrichtungen. Die Promotion erfolgte an der Sozial- und Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät und dem Lehrstuhl für Management, Professional Services und Sportökonomie der Universität Potsdam. An der Universität Bayreuth war er beschäftigt als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Strategisches Management und Organisation.

Prof. Dr. Peter Steinhoff ist Professor für Betriebswirtschaftslehre, insbesondere Unternehmenssteuerung sowie internationales/interkulturelles Management an der Hochschule für angewandtes Management in Ismaning bei München. Er studierte Kulturwirtschaft an den Universitäten Passau, Quito und Charleston. Die Promotion erfolgte an der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät und dem Lehrstuhl für Controlling und interne Erfolgsrechnung der Universität Würzburg. Der ehemalige Siemens Manager ist Managing Partner des Beratungsunternehmens Transformation Consulting International (TCI). Dort verantwortet er den Beratungsschwerpunkt Business Transformation sowie die Internationalisierung des Unternehmens.
