About the Book

"Electronic Blood" by Daniela Andonovska Trajkovska is an award winning poetry book with poems about the quality of life of the humans in present times that most of us perceive it as time that has no time for it self, because we are always in a rush to keep up with all of the obligations and responsibilities that we have, and thus we are in danger of losing ourselves in the labyrinth of the soul that is constantly being pressed against the wall of deceit and despair. "Our days are living/ in the electronic messages/ that grow on our fingers/ like nails with which we scratch the door/ that keeps us closed/ - each of us closed each of us in its own autistic room// we depend on the transfer-rate / of the communication link/ the most important thing to us is to know/ with how many megabits per second/ we pass from one part of the story to the other/ and how many megabytes we have/ to memorize ourselves with high resolution/ on the fake image that no one notices/ between the shape without a content/ before the RAM memory of our sour time/ erases us (from "Electronic Life") - says AndonovskaTrajkovska in one of her poems. This book does not raise questions about alienation present in the modern world only, it also speaks about our awakening, hope, and love that is being symbolically presented as blood that is electronic and warm and alive because we can still touch the pulse of life in it. Therefore we perceive it as a string that links all of us synchronically and diachronically and as something that makes us not to lose hope and believe that we will become better as humans. We shall find, in studying this work, a very apt and concise style. The poet's sense of music is quite attractive in the words and phrases used in these poems.
"Electronic Blood" was previously published in Macedonian language in 2019 and was awarded with the one of the most important national poetry awards in Republic of North Macedonia - Karamanov Poetry Prize 2019. This book has also received a very important international poetry award in Italy (Premio Mondiale "Tulliola - Renato Filippelli") in 2021. "Electronic Blood" has been translated into Arabic language by Raed Anis Al-Jishi from Saudi Arabia and was published and presented at the World Book Fare in Abu Dhabi in May 2021 by Rawashen Publishing House in The United Arab Emirates.
