Ce qui, quand on connaît l'histoire de la famille Otton, est assez inquiétant. "Elle Pleure Pas Lucy" (déjà paru sous le titre de "Pick-Up") est un récit navigant entre thriller et roman classique, saga familiale et épopée rupestre. C'est l'oeuvre d'un auteur allaité aux romans noirs américains, au rock'n'roll, et aux séries télévisées HBO. La narration se joue du temps, de la chronologie et des convenances littéraires, et offre au lecteur un ton original mais... cependant familier.
About the Author: Né en 1954 au Maroc, Michel Plès n'est pas ce que l'on pourrait appeler un érudit. Ses faits d'armes en matière littéraire se résument, avant soixante ans, à zéro. Pas d'essais, pas d'articles, pas même la moindre petite nouvelle. Études courtes (collège), service armé court (trois mois), déambulation anarchique vite expédiée, il n'est pas un aventurier, et servitude volontaire (assumée) au sein de la même entreprise pendant quarante ans. Une seule passion, la lecture. Un seul but, écrire un roman un beau jour. À soixante ans il écrit Pick-Up (devenu "Elle Pleure Pas Lucy") et enchaîne sur "Lough Neagh". Il vit en Normandie et ne compte pas arrêter d'écrire de sitôt.
