About the Author: Inge was born, raised, and lived in Indonesia until she moved to Duluth, Minnesota, in 2002. Her upbringing was spearheaded by a grandmother who relied on folk medicine; spices and herbs found in the backyard pharmacy of her home. For more than seventeen years, she was building a career in a high-tempo advertising industry with multinational corporations, serving local and international brands. The influence of modernity and technology had changed Inge's lifestyle choices accordingly; enticing fast-food joints, eating out instead of cooking at home, reaching out for instant relief instead of listening to and understanding what her body needed when flu or cold symptoms came around. Not to mention, the struggle of balancing work-life, the constant fight against polluted environment and traffic jam, work stress and lack of sleep. All of these challenges had affected not only her overall performance at work, but most importantly, her peace of mind and overall well-being. Her father was diagnosed with Type-2 Diabetes at the age of 60. And then seven years later, Inge's brother was struck by a mild stroke at 39 years of age - work stress, no exercise, smoking, lack of sleep. Inge decided to make health a priority and started to revisit the traditions her grandmother lived by decades ago. She reacquainted herself with the teaching, the lifestyle, the food she was brought up with. As a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition(R), Inge is now working with clients on how to reach their health goals, including stress reduction, increasing energy, losing weight, and improving their total well-being. She'll accomplish this by guiding, supporting, and empowering them with their food and lifestyle choices, and helping them heal and thrive with food.
