About the Author: Leonard E. Swischuk, MD, is Professor of Radiology and Pediatrics, and Director for the Division of Pediatric Radiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career, including the American Roentgen Ray Society's highest award, the Gold Medal for Distinguished Service to Radiology in 2007, the Texas Radiologic Society Gold Medal, the American Board of Radiology's Distinguished Service Award, and the gold medal from the Society for Pediatric Radiology.
Over his distinguished career, Dr. Swischuk has contributed more than 235 manuscripts to peer reviewed journals, has written 6 books, and has contributed more than 22 chapters to books on pediatric radiology. He currently serves on the editorial board of Springer's Journal of Emergency Radiology.
Siddharth P. Jadhav, MD, is assistant professor of radiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He received his medical training at the University of Bombay and received a fellowship in pediatric radiology at the University of Texas Medical School.
