Des Weiteren befasst sich die nachfolgende Arbeit genauer mit den Merkmalen der Digitalisierung und den Merkmalen von KMU. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Fähigkeiten von KMU in Bezug auf Employer Branding und den dazugehörigen Einfluss der Digitalisierung aufzuzeigen und strategisch nutzen zu können, damit Nachteile ausgeglichen werden. Um diese Fragestellung zu beantworten, ist die wissenschaftliche Arbeit in drei Teile untergliedert. Zuerst werden die theoretischen Grundlagen, die für das Verständnis nötig sind, erarbeitet. Es wird sowohl der Begriff Digitalisierung definiert und eine wichtige Abgrenzung getroffen, als auch auf den Begriff Employer Branding und KMU eingegangen und definiert. Aufbauend darauf werden diese Begriffe in Kapitel 2 bei KMU angewendet. Um die Begriffe Digitalisierung und Employer Branding plastischer zu gestalten, wird in Kapitel 3 erarbeitet, wie Start-up-Unternehmen die Digitalisierung und das Employer Branding umsetzen. Im Anschluss daran wird aufbauend auf den vorherigen Kapiteln die Fragestellung in Form einer Diskussion beantwortet. Die wissenschaftliche Arbeit endet mit einem Fazit. Der Wettbewerb um gute Mitarbeiter ist durch den demografischen und wirtschaftlichen Wandel, welcher zu zunehmend wettbewerbsorientierten Arbeitsmärkten geführt hat, stark gestiegen. Aufgrund dessen wird empfohlen, in die Gewinnung entsprechend qualifizierter und ausgebildeter Mitarbeiter strategisch zu investieren. Eine solche Strategie ist Employer Branding (EB).
