With Empower Yourself with Medical Hypnosis, Hillel Mazansky, MD, has written a gift of a book that will change the way you manage your mental and physical health.
Dr. Mazansky was an allopathic physician for many years, and like many traditional doctors, he devalued the importance of holistic medicine, dismissing hypnosis as pseudoscience. It was not until he experienced a dramatic diagnosis that he became open to alternatives that offered hope for managing his disease and its treatments.
While struggling to conquer the horribly debilitating side effects of chemotherapy, a doctor explained how guided imagery and hypnosis had helped others, and in desperation, the author decided to give medical hypnosis a try. Within two sessions, he became a believer. The wrenching retching was replaced with manageable symptoms, and during surgery, he lost much less blood than was typical. This self-empowerment changed him from a cancer victim to a cancer patient and then survivor.
Empower Yourself with Medical Hypnosis describes powerful guided imagery techniques used in hypnosis. The author shares details of his own story and offers practical tips and advice from his professional experience. Furthermore, Mazansky explains how the value of medical hypnosis goes far beyond managing cancer and is helpful for stress, obesity, and many other health issues.
