About the Book

A deep study of successful enterprises around the globe, be they service or product oriented, reveals one major and critical fact: businesses are there to serve the people, who in return patronize the product sold or the service rendered. Suffice it to say that every business is a service business. A business either serves directly, if it is mainly service oriented; or indirectly through services rendered by the functions of its products, if such business is mainly product oriented.

Great enterprises are created by people whose objectives transcend making a living or growing profit from their business, into touching the people who buy their product or service, in ways that are immensely satisfactory.

My study of the birth of great businesses as well as the collapse of several others revealed strong principles at work: principles that would give success when appropriated, or cause failure otherwise. Principles give birth to rules, and define codes of conduct. It follows that the making of successful businesses is a function of obedience to a set of commandments.

The entrepreneur is the person that makes the organization. What he knows, believes, thinks, does, and acts determines where the organization will belong in the scheme of things. His character must be brought to bear in the growth of his organization.

In The Entrepreneur's Commandments we look at the character and makeup of the entrepreneur, and how these can become pro-actively moderated to produce great results by merely following set of rules. Successful entrepreneurs do not all have the same emotional and mental make-up. But their various traits are moderated by similar principles that make them achieve individual successes.

Given that all men are governed by the same laws of existence, the principles in this book are applicable to the American entrepreneur as much as they are to the African, the Asian, the Jew, the Catholic, and so on; principles of enterprise success is operational despite color, prejudice, race, economic background, training, educational background, or special inclinations.

The Entrepreneur's Commandments, as explained in this book, unlike many of the commandments we are used to, comprise of dos and not don'ts. It is my firm belief that if we have a good understanding of what we must do, we will automatically abhor what we must not do. The consequence of adhering to the requirements of THE ENTREPRENEUR'S COMMANDMENTS would be entrepreneurial success. About The Author Patrick Onwe is from the South Eastern region of Nigeria; an Electronic Engineer, with Master of Business Administration; and over twenty years of experience in Information Technology deployment and solutions, human resource management, manufacturing, and innovative products marketing. Mr Onwe has facilitated several investment lectures and programs across Nigeria, as well as online. In addition, he has passionately engaged several of his young mentees in small business startups. He has profound interest in management philosophies, social engineering, and metaphysics. He currently lives in Nigeria with his wife and children.
About the Author: Patrick Onwe is from the Ibo tribe of the South Eastern region of Nigeria, a part of the country know for entrepreneurial prowess right from the times of their ancestors. In addition he hails from a family with a tradition of business leadership. Mr Onwe studied Electronic Engineering at the prestigious University Of Nigeria, Nsukka. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration degree. For over twenty five years he gathered experience in Information Technology deployment and solutions, human resource management, projects management, manufacturing, and innovative products marketing; while working for several private organizations and governmental organizations, including the Onwe Family business. For over a decade he was the head of his autonomous community, Town Union government. Mr Patrick Onwe facilitates several investment lectures and programs across Nigeria, as well as on-line; features in popular radio talk shows on business investment. His Information Technology training organization, Micromedia Computer Ltd, has directly trained over 8000 people, within the South East of Nigeria. In addition, he passionately engages several young people in small business startups. He has profound interest in management philosophies, social engineering, painting, artificial intelligence, and metaphysics. He currently lives in Nigeria with his wife and children.
