Das Buch von Martin Pollack ist, wie viele andere literarische Texte, auf eine bestimmte Art und Weise mit dem Autor verbunden. Jeder Schriftsteller identifiziert sich mit seinem Werk und versucht etwas zu beweisen oder eine Geschichte zu beschreiben. In diesem Fall ist es ein extrem persönliches Werk, das über den Vater des Autors berichtet. Der Schriftsteller verspürte das Bedürfnis, sich mit der Vergangenheit seines Vaters in literarischer Form auseinanderzusetzen. Während der Materialsuche für den Text versuchte er nicht nur seinen Vater kennenzulernen, sondern auch auf viele quälende Fragen, die mit der NS-Karrierewahl seines Vaters verbunden waren, zu antworten. In dieser Studie werden die Diagnosen von Martin Pollack zur Entstehung und Entwicklung des Nationalsozialistisches Denkens in Österreich präsentiert. Das Buch von Martin Pollack analysiert die ersten sprachlichen, nationalistischen und kulturellen Konflikte, die in Österreich stattfanden. Am Beispiel der Familie Bast wurde es genau dargestellt, wie sich das nationalistische Denken entwickelt und später zum Nationalsozialismus verwandelt hat.
About the Author: Kacper Piontkowski (in Polen: Piątkowski), M. A., wurde 1989 in Bielsko-Biala (Polen) geboren. Bis zu seinem siebten Lebensjahr wuchs er in Bayern auf (Doppelstaatsangehörigkeit), was später Einfluss auf seine Interessen an der deutschen Sprache und Kultur nahm. Sein Studium der Germanistik an der Adam-Mickiewicz-Universität in Poznań/Polen absolvierte er erfolgreich im Jahre 2013. Fasziniert von der deutschen Kultur und Sprache, verbrachte er regelmäßig seine Sommer- und Winterferien in Bayern, um die Besonderheiten des Landes und das deutsche alltägliche Leben besser kennenzulernen. Für enorm interessant hält er die deutschsprachige Literatur und die Freudsche Psychoanalyse als Methode der Literaturinterpretation. Im Falle dieses Buches wurden von dem Autor die Entstehung und Entwicklung des nationalsozialistischen Denkens in Österreich anhand Martin Pollacks "Der Tote im Bunker. Bericht über meinen Vater" dargestellt.
