About the Book

Have you ever wondered why things are the way they are? Why people do what they do? Why some problems never seem to go away? Why it's always something? It's due to the law of uncertainty. Throughout history, most of human activity has been motivated by uncertainty. Yet, never before have so many people experienced so much uncertainty. The last two centuries have seen more advancement in our quality of life than ever before. Society has made great advancements to reduce uncertainty, but it has also made us more vulnerable to uncertainty. Science searches for an elegant theory of how the universe works and the physical world was created. However, most people don't deal with the physical world. They deal with a social world that is constructed by people. So, how is the social world created? What was the Big Bang event that set off a chain reaction that affects how we behave and communicate today? What are the forces that affect all of us each and every day? We live in a world of our own creation. From our homes, to our work- places, to how we behave and communicate with one another, much of the world in which we live is socially created. The Theory of Everything is about how the laws of behavior and communication form an elegant unified Theory of Everything that shapes the world in which we live. It explains how things come to be. How we form relationships. How organizations grow and become successful, only to wither and die. How societies become great, only to fall. And how uncertainty has motivated human activity throughout history. The Theory of Everything is about how we learn about ourselves, others, and the world around us. How our needs and wants motivate us to communicate with others. And how uncertainty affects you and what you can do about it to improve your well-being and quality of life.
About the Author: Dr. Brent Nelson, Ph.D., has researched the connection between communication and behavior for many years. He has examined the effect of perceptions and expectations on economics. As a result of his research, Dr. Nelson is the first to develop a Grand Unified Theory of Behavioral Communication. He has uncovered the laws that govern communication and behavior. The Nelsonian Law of Uncertainty, has motivated human behavior since the beginning of time. Given recent events, uncertainty affects us more today than ever before. He has written about how uncertainty affects us and what we can do about it to improve our quality of life. Dr. Nelson has developed new and creative methodologies to understand how people communicate. He developed the concept of desired outcome, which focuses on a person's well being to increase flexibility and effectiveness. He has also developed a new theory of economics based on how people reduce uncertainty, share meaning, and invest in themselves and others as a force that motivates economic behavior. Dr. Nelson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and History, Summa Cum laude, Phi beta Kappa, a Masters, and Ph.D. He has been a professor of undergraduate and graduate classes in several fields. He has conducted seminars in leadership, business, team building, communication, and intercultural communication in the US and Europe. Dr. Nelson is the author of books on politics, government, business, and relationships. He has been a regular contributor to a daily newspaper and international magazine. He is a well regarded public speaker on a variety of topics.
