SINOPSIS:

Equis es un tipo normal que un buen decide comenzar a correr. Lo ha intentado en varias ocasiones sin éxito, por una razón o por otra. Curiosamente, siempre desea comenzar a correr cuando decide cambiar algún aspecto de su vida, que no le satisface. Su estrecho entorno no comprende que desee correr ni cree que esté preparado para ello, y menos que nadie su esposa, la cual prefiere que siga en el bar maltratando su hígado a que corra. La aversión de ella a esa práctica deportiva es casi enfermiza. Eso produce una tremenda crisis en el aparente tranquilo matrimonio. Pero, siempre hay un pasado sorprendente, y se vuelve a constatar que las cosas no son como parecen en esta historia de encuentros y desencuentros.

CRÍTICA LITERARIA DE HEYDEVENIR:

¿Quién no ha intentado alguna vez empezar a hacer ejercicio y desiste a los dos días? Equis quería correr cuenta la historia de Equis, una persona aparentemente normal que, cansada de ciertos aspectos de su vida, trata de cambiarlos corriendo. Es una novela con encuentros y desencuentros, de amores y desamores. Es un libro muy humano que hace que el lector se sienta identificado en algún momento conforme devora las páginas, porque sí, quien se anime a leerlo, las devorará. Equis quería correr posee una estructura sencilla y una narrativa muy amena, lo que facilita su lectura, y bajo una apariencia trágica debido a los blancos y negros, amores y desamores, éxitos y fracasos, etc., cuenta con unos toques de humor que consiguen que la lectura sea divertida. A primera vista puede parecer una novela que trata sobre el deporte, sobre correr. Pero como bien nos contaba su autor, José Antonio Flores Vera, en la entrevista que le hicimos, realmente se trata de un tapiz de fondo sobre el que se desarrolla la historia, que no quita que un aficionado a correr vaya a disfrutar más o menos del libro, pues como os decíamos, la historia es tan humana que cualquiera se siente identificado. Equis quería correr es una novela sencilla, entretenida, triste, alegre, divertida y sorprendente, pues el final no dejará indiferente a nadie. Desde Devenir recomendamos encarecidamente su lectura. Enhorabuena a José Antonio por este gran libro.
