Kaum ein Unternehmen kommt heute am Einsatz dieser neuen Medien vorbei, wenn es darum geht, erfolgreich und effizient neue Mitarbeiter zu beschaffen. Dass das sogenannte E-Recruiting ein Wachstumsmarkt ist, zeigen eindrucksvoll die Prognosen des Marktforschungsinstitutes "Forrester Research". Hier geht man davon aus, dass sich der weltweite Markt für elektronisch gestützte Personalbeschaffungsmaßnahmen von derzeit 600 Millionen US-Dollar auf etwa 7,1 Milliarden US-Dollar im Jahr 2005 verzwölffachen wird. Das Kölner "Electronic Commerce Forum" (eco) prognostiziert, dass in fünf Jahren rund die Hälfte aller qualifizierten Stellen in der deutschen Wirtschaft über das Internet besetzt werden. Keine andere Technologie hat sich so schnell in den Unternehmen durchgesetzt, wie die des Internets und des Intranets. Seit Mitte der 90er Jahre revolutionieren diese beiden Medien die Personalrekrutierung. Der Erfolg eines Unternehmens wird entscheidend von der Qualität seiner Mitarbeiter beeinflusst. Obwohl wir in Deutschland unverändert von einer hohen Arbeitslosigkeit betroffen sind, ist der verwaltungstechnische Aufwand, den Unternehmen betreiben müssen, um neue, qualifizierte Mitarbeiter zu suchen und zu finden, noch immer sehr zeit- und kostenintensiv. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wird es darum gehen, die Möglichkeiten, die sich für die Personalbeschaffung mit Hilfe von Internet und Intranet ergeben, aufzuzeigen. Die verschiedenen Ansätze und Instrumentarien, die beide Medien für die Personalbeschaffung bieten, werden dabei detailliert auf ihre Eignung hin untersucht und erläutert. Insbesondere sollen jedoch die möglichen Rationalisierungspotentiale für den Prozess der Personalbeschaffung aufgezeigt und Handlungsempfehlungen zu deren Generierung gegeben werden. Darüber hin
