Dieses Buch soll leicht verständlich sein. Dieses Buch soll schnell lesbar sein. Dieses Buch soll direkt umsetzbare Tipps liefern. Es muss nicht zwingend von Anfang an gelesen werden. Vielmehr kann jeder Leser sich diejenigen Tipps aus der Zusammenstellung (vgl. S. 171) aussuchen, die ihm eine schnelle Hilfestellung für seine aktuell anstehenden Herausforderungen liefern. Insoweit sind die Tipps zwar nach den wesentlichen, für mittelständische Unternehmen relevanten Funktionen und Spezialthemen gegliedert, stehen aber innerhalb dieser Strukturierung jeweils isoliert. So wird sichergestellt, dass alle Tipps einzeln lesbar und verständlich sind, ohne auf vorher- henden Tipps aufzubauen oder nachfolgende Tipps zum Verständnis zu benötigen. Alle Praxistipps basieren auf den langjährigen, eigenen Erfahrungen der Autoren, die als Führungskräfte in Unternehmen, als Managementberater, Hochschullehrer und als Vertreter in Beiräten und Aufsichtsräten arbeiten und gearbeitet haben. Es geht also um umsetzun- orientierte, bewährte Tipps von Praktikern für Praktiker und nicht um ein geschlossenes K- zept zur Führung mittelständischer Unternehmen. Die Tipps mögen im einen oder anderen Fall durchaus nach dem ersten Lesen auch ein Ko- schütteln hervorrufen, weil sie nicht immer der üblichen Denkweise entsprechen. Aber jeder Tipp hat in der Praxis in einer Reihe von Fällen nachhaltig seine positive Wirkung gezeigt.
About the Author: Dr. Jochen Wolf und Dr. Bernd Bergschneider sind Geschäftsführer einer Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft in Stuttgart und begleiten vor allem die Unternehmensentwicklung mittelständischer, oft familienorientierter Gesellschaften. Professor Dr. Herbert Paul lehrt Unternehmensführung und Internationales Management an der Hochschule Mainz. Dr. Thomas Zipse ist selbstständiger Unternehmensberater.
