Akademische Arbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Komparatistik, Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft, Note: 1,3, Universität Erfurt (Romanistische Literaturwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Realismus und Naturalismus in den romanischen Literaturen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Januar 1857 wird vor dem Pariser Polizeigericht die Hauptverhandlung gegen Gustave Flaubert eröffnet. Die Anklage gegen den bis dahin wenig bekannten Autor lautet, die öffentliche und religiöse Moral verletzt zu haben. Der Vorwurf richtet sich gegen den im selben Jahr erschienenen Erstlingsroman "Emma Bovary- Sitten der Provinz". Darin schildert Flaubert das Leben der Emma Bovary, die durch zahlreiche Ehebrüche versucht, ihrem tristen Leben in der Provinz zu entfliehen. Dies sind Vorkommnisse, welche den damaligen Moralvorstellungen widersprechen, insbesondere die Flaubert vorgeworfene Verharmlosung des Ehebruchs. Der Prozess sorgt für Aufsehen in ganz Frankreich und bringt Flaubert zunehmende Bekanntheit ein. Trotz der schweren Vorwürfe gegen ihn, wird Flaubert letztendlich freigesprochen. Den Freispruch hat er seinem Schreibstil zu verdanken; durch den er zudem als Wegbereiter für den Realismus gilt. Neben einer objektiven Beschreibung der Geschehnisse spielt auch die Verwendung der Perspektive eine wichtige Rolle. Bei dieser Art des Erzählens findet demnach eine subtile Lenkung des Lesers statt. Aus dieser Annahme leitet sich folgende Hauptthese ab: Die durch die Perspektive erzeugte Erwartungshaltung des Lesers lässt sich ohne eine Beschreibung der Geschehnisse selbst erfüllen. Dies soll im Folgenden durch den Vergleich des zuvor erwähnten Romans "Madame Bovary" von Gustave Flaubert und "O Primo Basílio" von Eça de Queiroz untersucht werden, mit Schwerpunkt auf den beiden Kutsch-Szenen. Des Weiteren werden die erzähltheoretische Perspektive im Sinn der "Focalisation" und die Erzählweisen der Romane miteinbezogen, um durch Untersuchung der narrativen Gestaltung die Szenen mit
