About the Book

The date of 0 S.F. marks the beginning of the Sorcēarian settlement on Earth. Sir Gaius, who headed the mission, created the land of Ives to house his people. Though initially welcomed with open arms, as time passed, the angelic race met nothing but scorn from humanity. While the original mission of the Sorcēarians was to guide civilization into a world of peace, eventually intense warfare consumed all the lands. As hostilities worsened, the Gaius lineage awaited the arrival of the Arbitrator-the one prophesied to bring final judgment upon Earth.

At birth, Dovian was perceived to be small and weak; the expectation of him fulfilling his role as a mighty warrior became doubtful. As there remained no sign of the Arbitrator, the Gaius family feared for the future of the human race. To prepare the boy for any hardships he may encounter, Sir Gaius personally mentored Dovian over the years, which led him to master Scarlet status and become a high-class medic at an accelerated rate. Teamed alongside his equally skilled friends, Dovian found that the worst of enemies weren't necessarily met on the battlefield but were those closest to him and sometimes the most difficult battles are fought within oneself.

Follow the critical moments of Dovian's life leading up to the annihilation of his home and its seemingly perfect civilization in this prequel to the Esoteric Design series.

About the Author:

A. R. Crebs spent her youth playing videogames, watching action and horror films of the 80s and 90s, and used her imagination as a form of entertainment for her family and friends. It wasn't until she was in her early teens that she played her first fantasy genre game. Crebs was hooked. What started as fan art of her favorite characters turned into a passion for designing a world of her own. Thus, Dovian was born. The creation of Dovian's story grew throughout the years where new characters and creatures were designed. While in college, Crebs sparked the idea to write her story of Dovian and his adventures in The Esoteric Design series. After graduating from the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with a BFA in illustration, Crebs began to piece together the artwork and ideas from her youth. Together she formed the novel series with chapter illustrations, bios, and glossary.
