La inmortal obra de Miguel de Cervantes y su figura principal, Don Quijote de la Mancha, sirven de instrumento para que A. Gálvez lleve a cabo un análisis minucioso de los principales ataques que, a lo largo de la historia, van a tratar de desvirtuar el prístino mensaje del Evangelio. En la misma promesa de Cristo acerca de que las Puertas del Infierno no prevalecerán contra su Iglesia, hay implícito un mensaje claro y aterrador de que los intentos por destruir esta Roca no van a cesar hasta el Fin de los Tiempos. Y en la medida en que nos acerquemos a este Final, la maldad y el Poder del Enemigo manifestarán una fuerza cada vez más desorbitada. Esperando a D. Quijote, en este sentido, no es tan solo una obra que se dedique a los problemas actuales que está padeciendo la Iglesia del s. XXI, sino también, y de un modo especial, a las principales tentaciones que la Esposa de Cristo ha sufrido, sufre y sufrirá, en el ya largo caminar de su peregrinación.


Y aunque son muchas las interpretaciones que se hacen sobre la locura y cordura de D. Quijote, todas ellas válidas, A. Gálvez hace uso de este modo de ser quijotesco para comentar la locura de la Sabiduría divina, revelada en el Evangelio, frente a la cordura del hombre que, haciendo uso de su libre albedrío, ha decidido rechazar el mensaje de Cristo, para hacerlo más humano. En realidad, todos los ataques del Enemigo para destruir la Iglesia podrían ser descritos como distintas formas de modificar -adulterar- el Evangelio y presentarlo de un modo "más entendible" a los ojos de un hombre sin Dios. Desde el capítulo primero hasta el último el autor refleja, amén de un amor fiel a la Iglesia y a Cristo, un profundo conocimiento tanto del modo de proceder del Mal, algo inusual hoy día en los miembros de la Jerarquía, como de lo que constituye la esencia del Cristianismo. Así, con una mirada profunda, pone al descubierto la locura o cordura, según el punto de vista que se mire, de querer poner a los seglares en la funciones de los Presbíteros (Capítulo II, "Los Seglares al Poder"), o de poner a los Presbíteros en las funciones de los seglares ("La Promoción de los Presbíteros", cuyo subtítulo es "La Historia más Grande jamás Contada"). Al mismo tiempo que presenta un análisis del Amor Divino manifestado en Cristo Jesús en los capítulos V, VI, y VII, con ecos que traen a nuestra memoria algunos de los aconteceres del Ingenioso Hidalgo D. Quijote ("La Ínsula Barataria", "El Yelmo de Mambrino" y "La Edad de Oro", respectivamente), también nos ofrece las trágicas consecuencias a las que el hombre se dirige cuando se intenta desvirtuar la esencia del verdadero amor. Por último, los capítulos IV y VIII ("Las Utopías, un Azote de la Humanidad" y "La Gran Tentación" -el último-), a juicio nuestro, ponen el dedo en la llaga de las dos tentaciones más fuertes que ha sufrido la Iglesia en su desarrollo y que hoy día están mostrando una ferocidad inusitada.


En definitiva, una obra clave para poder entender la Locura de la Sabiduría Divina y la Cordura del hombre moderno. Y el magistral capítulo final, "La Gran Tentación", debería ser leído por todos, pero especialmente, por aquellos que han sido llamados a la vocación del sacerdocio.
