Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2022 im Fachbereich Französische Philologie - Literatur, Note: 1,0, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Stück "La Leçon" weist viele Charakteristika des Nouveau Théâtre auf; eine zyklische Handlung, die bis ins Absurde geht, marionettenhafte Figuren, mit denen keine Identifikation stattfinden kann, und vor allem ein sehr besonderer Umgang mit der Sprache: Ionesco zeigt die Möglichkeiten, Grenzen und Funktionen der Kommunikation und Sprache. Die vorliegende Arbeit hat zum Ziel diese Funktionen näher zu beleuchten. Die genaue Forschungsfrage lautet: Inwiefern unterstreicht die Sprache die Darstellung der Machtstrukturen des Stücks? Für die Beantwortung der Frage werden in einem theoretischen Teil zuerst die grundsätzlichen Funktionen der Sprache, die Besonderheiten der Sprache des Nouveau Théâre und Ionescos Einstellungen und Gebrauch der Sprache in seinen Stücken dargestellt. Danach werden die Handlung und die Figuren des Stückes vorgestellt, um im letzten Schritt zu erörtern, wieviel Macht Ionesco der Sprache in seinem Stück gegeben hat. Herrscht in "La Leçon" die Macht der Sprache oder hat die Sprache die Macht? "La Leçon" ist ein Einakter des französisch-rumänischen Autors Eugène Ionesco, der in Frankreich, neben Samuel Beckett und Arthur Adamov, als führender Vertreter des Nouveau Théâtre gilt. Die in der Nachkriegszeit entstandene Theaterform bricht bewusst mit den Regeln des klassischen Theaters. Zeit, Ort und Handlung bilden keine Einheit. Die oftmals zusammenhanglose Handlung wird in der Regel auf ein Minimum reduziert und auf einer kargen Bühne dargestellt. Ort und Zeit sind nicht genau definierbar, die Figuren wirken wie Schablonen, typisiert und ohne Substanz. Ihre Dialoge erscheinen floskelhaft und ohne Bedeutung. Das Nouveau Théâtre zeichnet sich auch durch eine Abwertung der Sprache aus. Diese verliert ihre Funktion als Verständigungsmittel, die Worte der Figuren gehen oft ins Leere.
