About the Book

Evanescencia es un poemario en que el autor, Kornelius Dekker, explora la experiencia del insomnio, la imposibilidad de escribir y los límites de la cordura. Dekker codifica el insomnio como la metáfora del tránsito vital por la niebla, es decir, la condición del hombre contemporáneo que cruza un tiempo de cambios sustanciales, en el que las viejas certezas se fracturan en tanto que las nuevas aún no se consolidan. En medio de ello, la razón inalcanzada amenaza la cordura y acusa el déficit de discurso, del logos que sea capaz de dar cuenta de la crisis, del tránsito.

En la obra tiene lugar un diálogo implícito entre Thanatos, representado por un yo agónico, al que se le niega la posibilidad de entregarse al sueño, y Eros, representado por un impreciso y evanescente, en el que la voz poética pareciera cifrar su salvación.

También concurren en el poemario las voces de otros poetas como Alejandra Pizarnik, José Antonio Ramos Sucre y Cesare Pavese. Algunos poemas se combinan con fotografías en blanco y negro del autor.

Kornelius Dekker es un heterónimo de Jerónimo Alayón Gómez, concebido en el marco del proyecto Círculo de Akanthos.

Aquí/ que es menos que allí/ he aguardado por la espada que amenaza con decapitar la mañana del día señalado

Tú has venido a mí/ cada noche/ en medio de una pesadilla de légamo y feroces vientos/ tú sabes dónde acaba el lecho del río que nunca engendró su agua/ tú me salvas cuando la última campana grita mi nombre contra las rocas del arrecife/ aquí es la tempestad y el paso desnortado/ allí/ contigo/ los mares se abrazan al fuego que viste de canas el dolor

Aquí/ un hombre/ solo eso/ esquivo las sierpes de letras que inoculan su ponzoña más allá de las gramáticas/ bebo un vaso de coñac destilado de la ubre del mundo/ de noche me arropo con la tierra que sobra de los cementerios/ aquí/ un hombre como todos/ una letra de cambio girada contra el tiempo

Tú sabes que danzamos sobre la esfera de un reloj/ dijiste/ callé/ pensé/ solo necesito una nostalgia para navegar hasta el nunca/ no lo comprenderás/ tendrías que habitar la garganta de una campana rajada/ cueva poblada por sombras de los árboles que caminaron hasta el desierto

Aquí/ donde el viento es una promesa apuñalada bajo los libros quemados en Berlín/ aquí/ al norte del infierno/ al sur de Armagedón/ aquí/ muy lejos de allí


About the Author:

Kornelius Dekker (Berlín, 1961) es un heterónimo de Jerónimo Alayón Gómez. Junto a otros cuatro heterónimos forma parte del proyecto literario Círculo de Akanthos, cuyo objeto es escrutar los límites de la palabra, ese punto donde el lenguaje solo no basta para justificar la literatura.

Jerónimo Alayón Gómez (Caracas, 1966) es escritor y profesor en la Universidad Central de Venezuela. En 2008 quedó finalista del Premio Internacional Juan Rulfo con el relato El último tren. Desde 2012 desarrolla el proyecto Círculo de Akanthos, un nuevo enfoque de la teoría de Wittgenstein desde la perspectiva de los límites de la ficción.
