About the Author: I had the fortune of attending one of the best schools in the country and aim to share the outstanding, exam-focused teaching that led to my success. I also encourage others to do the same as me and to share what they have learnt with other students. I believe that student-written guides which have been checked and approved by teachers and examiners are enhanced by our experience and knowledge of exactly what it is like revising for and taking GCSE and IGCSE exams, knowledge which no teacher or examiner has in the current system.
I began the project of sharing these grade boosting techniques with other students after my GCSEs and it took me over a year to get the idea up and running, with the publication of my first guide 'Exam Grade Booster: GCSE French'. Since then, I have founded the publishing house 'Exam Grade Booster' and aim to have a selection of around 10 guides (printed in colour) available by the end of 2014. I firmly believe that any student - who is willing to spend a little time and effort - can maximize their potential with the right exam techniques; this is exactly what our products aim to provide. If you are interested in finding out how we write our books, the process behind publishing or maybe even writing your own book, please have a look at our website: http: //www.examgradebooster.co.uk
I am a student who has achieved outstanding results in my GCSE and IGCSE examinations, with 12 straight A*s, and my A-levels, with 4 straight A*s. I have experienced exactly what is required in order to obtain the best possible exam results. In modern languages, I have an A* in both French and Spanish IGCSE and got 100% on every module of GCSE Italian, after just 8 months of studying the language. In my French A-level I scored 96% and in my Spanish A-level I scored 97%. I am now studying French and Spanish at Trinity College, Cambridge University.
... However, I am no genius. I genuinely think that anyone is capable of achieving highly in examinations if they understand the formulae which need to be used to gain marks. Exams do not purely reward clever people, they reward people who are well prepared for them (and rightly so). I hope to give you what you need to make you far better prepared for your exams, so that they reward you too!
