About the Book

Eye Remember: Releasing the Sacred Feminine is a quirky nonfiction romance novel told by Ryan, who falls in love at first sight when he meets his twin flame, Céline, from Paris, at a hostel in Vietnam.

Céline's freckled hands held a cup of egg coffee, and she asked Ryan, "What is your name?"

"My name is Ryan; what is yours?"

Pressing her tender French lips together, she silences the busy streets of Hanoi City and says "Céline."

It was as if she had said, "Don't you remember?"

Céline continues her travels to Thailand, and the evening after she left, Ryan bought a motorbike for $110 USD and went on a wild adventure across the north of Vietnam with "The Steel Horse Cowboys." The crews' motorbikes break down, they keep warm with "happy water," and they ride towards freedom.

Ryan arrives in Paris five weeks after meeting Céline, quitting his English teaching job in South Korea to fly across the world to see a woman he had only met for three hours. Sharing a kiss at the illuminated Eiffel Tower, stealing cheese from a French woman's refrigerator, noticing the large black heart perfectly imprinted in Céline's iris, and employing an original numerology system that decodes Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, and Vitruvian Man to prove that Jesus of Nazareth and Mary Magdalene were married, had a daughter named Sarah, and their royal blood still flows in a woman's veins summarize chapters 4-5.

During Ryan's second trip to Paris, the ex-college cross-country runner discovers that he has been running in shoes two sizes too small for over eight years. Two weeks later, Ryan discovers a small black heart perfectly imprinted in his iris.

After leaving Paris, Ryan moves to Victoria, British Columbia, and buys Céline alpaca fur gloves, a hat, and alpaca keychains for Christmas.

Ryan sends Céline the blue alpaca keychain, as blue is a feminine energy, and he keeps the red alpaca keychain, as red is a masculine energy.

Céline's Christmas present arrives in the mail, and she has gifted him with a purple alpaca pen that she bought while travelling in Argentina after Ryan left Paris.

Ryan's original intentions for this book were to simply write a love story. However, with several life-altering events happening so quickly, he begins a spiritual quest to discover the divine purpose of Ryan and Céline.

The omega of the story is when Ryan "remembers" Céline through her prophetic connection to the Holy Grail.

The novel's first contact arc is Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code combined with the romantic and witty humour of Richard Linklater's movie Before Sunrise.

Ryan Anthony Mecca is a backpacker from Canada and the United States of America. Ryan spends the majority of his time travelling abroad, having visited 26 countries while earning no more than $14,000 USD per year (not including the summer of 2022!).

Ryan worked for a dog sledding company for two summers as a dog handler on a remote glacier, helping to harness Alaskan huskies, feed them, and keep the dog yards clean.

He also worked in a makeshift kitchen for a summer on the glacier, serving as a cook and feeding "the dog people."

The tranquilly of the glacier's untouched mountains is where Ryan began writing his first novel.

Ryan earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science and a minor in athletic coaching from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, in 2016. He did this while running cross country and track and field for a Division II NCAA school and training and competing in shoes that were two sizes too small.
