About the Book

Every writer starts somewhere and for me, it started with these four short stories. Still underground and trying to put my feet in the water, these four would start a foundation for me to build on. Now I'm a self-publishing writer and trying to get noticed when I can so it all starts here. I'm very proud of each of these no matter what people say and I know they're worth your attention if you give them the opportunity. There's something for everyone in this book depending on what mood you find yourself in. Two of them are written in prose form and they are A Murder for a Murder: September 11th, 2026 which is a thriller about a terrorist attack on the anniversary of September 11th. I wrote this a year and a half after the events and kept going at it until it was ready. This became the first project I ever released. The other is Confessions of a Vampire which is my tribute to my favorite breed of monsters. I personally feel the image of what it means to be a vampire is lost and so I'm trying to bring it back but with an additional twist. The other two are plays, one is a dark drama screenplay, The Wall. A pilot I always intended to be a popular television show for fans of vigilantes. The other is a theatrical comedy play, The Merlin show. This was a play based on a King Arthur course I took in college and let's just say this made me very popular with the students but not my professor. The stories here were chosen in a specific order to give you a break from one genre before going into something similar. Everyone starts somewhere and this is mine. I sincerely hope you enjoy this collection and until the next is written.
About the Author: Anthony Labson first found his passion in writing at an early age from reading fantasy novels. Finding an escape from the outside world by creating one of his own became his greatest gift. He believes that the ability to create a story out of nothing isn't just a gift but a miracle and it's a miracle he believes was given to him. In a time where everything is being remade, he also believes creativity is at an all time low and so now he has stepped up to bring creativity back to a world that's just sticking to used up ideas. Anthony Labson began his writing career attending Nova Southeastern University with The Knight Newspaper as a freelance film critic and being published in the NSU magazine Digressions. After graduating in 2008 he frequently self published poetry and prose on networks and gained momentum from readers. In December of 2011 he realized that he had more to offer so now here he is taking the next step to being a recognized author. He is currently self publishing his works hoping to gain attention from readers everywhere and become a successful author. He strongly believes that the reboots and the remakes are getting old and cliché. The people want to see something fresh and new, not new versions of old ideas. The future is for those who dare to go beyond what's already been done no matter how out of the norm it is. If you want something new and something fresh then please give one of my books a try. It's time to bring creativity back in a big way and Anthony Labson wants to be the one who contributes to that dream. Enjoy and until the next is written.
