Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Spanische Sprache, Literatur, Landeskunde, Note: 1,3, Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel, Veranstaltung: Proseminar Literaturwissenschaft, 10 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Mythos und in der Literatur hat es den Typus der femme fatale immer gegeben, denn Mythos und Literatur sind nur die dichterische Widerspiegelung des wirklichen Lebens, im wirklichen Leben aber hat es an mehr oder minder vollkommenen Exemplaren herrschsüchtiger und grausamer Frauen nie gefehlt . Mario Praz beschreibt in seinem Werk "Schwarze Romantik" mit diesem Zitat das Phänomen "femme fatale", das dekadente Frauenbild, das in seiner Darstellung im 19. Jahrhundert einen Höhepunkt in Kunst, Literatur und in der Gesellschaft fand. Doch wie lässt sich dieser "Mythos" rational erfassen? Wie lassen sich die Grundzüge dieses Typus` beschreiben? Ziel dieser Arbeit wird es zum einen sein, den Typus der femme fatale herauszustellen und ihn semantisch sowie typisch von dem der femme fragile abzugrenzen. Das Konzept der femme fragile stellt eine Variante der femme fatale dar, sie bildet quasi ihren Gegenpart. Beide literarischen Varianten bildeten sich im Kontext der Dekadenzästhetik heraus, und zwar zwischen 1890 und 1905 einhergehend mit der neuen Sensibilität der schwarzen Romantik . Die differenten Ausprägungen der femme fatale und der femme fragile werden in dieser Arbeit gegenübergestellt. Anschließend erfolgt eine Analyse der Figuren aus Valle-Incláns "Mi hermana Antonia" aus Jardín Umbrío, ich werde untersuchen inwieweit Valle-Inclán in seiner Erzählung die Typen der femme fatale und der femme fragile inszeniert. Vor der eigentlichen Analyse der Erzählung und den Beschreibungen der Konzepte der "Femmes" widme ich mich jedoch zunächst den Begriffen des fin de siècle und der Dekadenz, die eng mit den literarischen Frauentypen fatale und fragile in Verbindung stehen und zunächst erläutert werden müsse
