About the Book

The Ferryman

"The Ferryman" is a gripping novel that weaves together elements of the supernatural, science fiction, and thriller genres to create a riveting tale of survival, love, and the power of human determination. The story revolved around an unfortunate event in 1968 when a dam was intentionally sabotaged, causing a catastrophic flood that decimated Silverton, Georgia and claimed numerous lives. The story primarily follows the survivors - Matthew, Charles, Wendy, Terry, Gretta, and Jim - each uniquely affected by the event and bound to Silverton by a compelling, inexplicable force.

Terry and Gretta, in their pursuit of the truth, fall in love amidst the unraveling mystery of Silverton. Meanwhile, Matthew, haunted by visions, finds himself on a maddening quest for sanity. With his enigmatic abilities, Charles, after struggling with what's real for half of his life, excepts his fate and works diligently to restore peace to the haunted town. The intertwining narratives reveal layers of secrets that transform each survivor's life, challenging their understanding of reality and sanity.

Nearly six decades later, the surviving characters are mysteriously drawn back to Silverton, steered by a ghostly boy's insistence to confront the past. With the power to travel back in time, they intend to prevent the flood and the following horrifying aftermath. Terry risks himself for the group and becomes trapped in the town. He manages to escape, only to return once more attempting to halt the flood entirely.

As the novel progresses, the past, present, and future weave together, adding tension and suspense. In their journey to rewrite the town's history, the survivors' destinies converge, introducing the concept of the 'ferryman, ' an unlikely figure tasked with ferrying the dead. Their fates are further tested Terry navigates a manipulated reality where he's been missing for 21 years.

With its intricate plot, engaging characters, and a perfect blend of mystery, horror and the supernatural, "The Ferryman" promises to keep readers on the edge of their seats. As the story reaches its climactic conclusion, the ultimate question remains: Can they change the past and rewrite their intwined destinies, or are they destined to relive the tragic events of Silverton forever?
