About the Book

Prepare yourself for the most amazing and unforgettable story of a medical research scientist who unlocks the secret of mental illness and creates a procedure that is totally able to cure it, for the first time in history. At the same time the mental health community who you would think, would want it to succeed the most, along with the big drug companies, that also includes Congress, fighting him every step of the way, as he tries to find enough finances to keep his human experimental trial procedure from collapsing on the way to approval from the FDA. Until after some amazing circumstances allowed a fantastic country western singer and her group along with their fans pulling together to hold all the pieces in place. Not allowing a chance of a lifetime to cure mental illness slip through the cracks without first applying country music to fill the void.
About the Author: Harold Orrick was born in Temple, Texas in 1934, on a sharecropper farm. At the age of six, the farm house burnt down, my family and I was forced to move into the barn. The only thing I can say is we had a roof over our heads, even though you could see daylight through the joints of the 1 x 12 board walls. But luckily shortly after that my grandfather offered our family the opportunity to move to Fort Worth, Texas, to help manage an apartment house on Washington Street. The reason I mention all this, is to let you know how I ended up in Fort Worth, Texas. That gave me the opportunity when I finally entered high school at Trimble Tech taking print shop. I met the love of my life, on the first day of school of my senior year. I know heaven just opened up and there she was. The following summer I was lucky enough to marry this angel I was 19 she was 17 everyone said it wouldn't last six months. 60 + years later, three beautiful daughters, four fantastic grandchildren and two great grandsons. Several years of learning the printing trade following high school, 28 years of ownership of our printing company, along with real estate and investments. Not necessarily in that order, but after being married 60 + years to this high school sweat heart. She's been very good to me and we've been very lucky, considering where we started from and the hurdles we had to jump over. We were able to accomplish all of these wonderful things, because we have pulled together and we are, best of friends. Now I have tackled one of the most important projects in my career something I thought I would never do, is write a novel, it has a personal message that I would like to share with everyone, a message that this science fiction novel could become reality. And one of these days, one of the most heartbreaking terrible disease the world has ever known, with the help of our government, our scientists and the public as a whole working together could find a cure for Mental Illness, is my Hop
