Bia è una giornalista freelance che si invia nel mondo. Ama intervistare i 'grandi' della storia, quanto ama viaggiare. Il suo mestiere hobby è anche un escamotage per tenere in vita un matrimonio 'politically correct' ormai cristallizzato su di un presente senza futuro. Più amante di lei fantasiosamente incorporato. Talvolta il trio unito e solidale viaggia inseguendo gli scoop di lei.

Ma un giorno a Pechino tutto cambia nella vita di Bia. Nell'ufficio del dottor Picchi Nebbiosi incontra in gessato grigio e tacchi misura 11, bella e intrigante, Li Mei.

Ben presto Bia decide in cuor suo che sarà lei la madre numero tre di questa giovane figlia d'Oriente, che però gioca d'anticipo, ben decisa a non farsi sfuggire la madre occidentale, foriera di interessanti prospettive per lei.

Una relazione, la loro, al di là delle convenzioni, che sconfina talvolta in quella di sorella amica, nel senso più cinese del termine, che prende forma ed acquisisce spessore ad ogni loro incontro in qualche parte del mondo.

Un intreccio di due culture lontane che si compenetrano in modo originale e profondo nell'anima delle due donne sino a creare un filo sottile che le tiene unite anche a migliaia di chilometri.

Ogni viaggio fa da contraltare al viaggio interiore dell'una e dell'altra. Confucio e Freud si incontrano, si annusano, si scontrano, ammiccano tra loro.

Con un finale del tutto imprevisto che lasciamo scoprire al lettore.

Invia reportages a carattere politico sociale da: India, Cina, Sud Africa, Cipro, Grecia, Turchia, Germania, Francia, Svizzera.
