About the Book

When Julie Nielsen's mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Julie had no idea what to expect. But after years of juggling family, career, and caregiving for her best friend, Nielsen learned a thing or two about how to overcome obstacles.

In this inspiring and profoundly helpful guide and memoir, Nielsen shares her personal journey alongside her mother, as well as invaluable tips on surviving this challenging time and protecting a loved one. Written with warmth and lightheartedness, Finding Grace will lift your spirits while addressing the more taxing aspects of caring for someone with a disease like Alzheimer's.

Nielsen's approach to caregiving introduces numerous technological advancements that can be used not only to protect vulnerable individuals but to give them the best care. In addition, Nielsen shares clear and simple care concepts and points you can incorporate into your daily life to improve the well-being of your loved one and everyone around you.

Compassionate, useful, and humorous, Finding Grace is a comprehensive and intimate look at how to successfully care for a loved one diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This is a book you will actually want to sit down and read after a long day.
