About the Book

In the current book, we have sought to express deep concepts and contemporaryhuman concerns including nihilism and purposelessness, the priority of experienceand reasoning versus the speed stricken modern world and many other miseries in asimple and sincere language. All these psychological notions have been presented in asimple literary form and not in the form of complicated stereotypical stories. At the outset, the reader would think that the work has been authored for the lowerages and is not appropriate for the grownups but in the course of story, it becomesgradually clear that the story deals with the hidden and complicated psychologicalproblems that might haunt the reader himself. Moreover, one of the points of strengthof this work is that it discusses subtle psychological problems through strongcharacterization. The story does not contain multiple characters and the events revolve around fiveheroes. The first hero who shows up is Tom a charming handsome man with animpatient, hasty and mostly emotional character who is loved by others. In the storyhe tries to ridicule the methods that Foolis uses in training other fish which are alsopartially successful. In fact, Tom is characteristically the opposite side of Foolis. He did first arouse the jealousy of all fish because their chosen example was Tacbut after they were caught by the hunters Tac and even many other fish changed theirperspective of life issues. The leadership of fish is an old wise fish called Foolis who expresses many wisewords of the story. His past is unclear and no one knows since when he has been inthe pond. We just know based on his own allusions that he has had an adventurouspast and garnered his experiences all this way. His presence is lenitive, his words areenlightening, and this is a characteristic of the experienced individuals. The characters of Tic and Tac whose introduction begins simultaneously in theopening of the story are as if associated like the clock tic tac but it becomes clear soonthat they have unresolvable characteristic differences. Tac is an emotional characterwith a relatively illogical perspective and is merely following Tom but after the latter's death he carries a major part of the emotional burden of the story. Though hedoes not have a rational influence on the course of story he plays a significant role inthe creation of this sense among the fish. However, Tic with an even-tempered andrational character exemplifies the individuals who take right steps in the path ofevolution. He is the follower of Foolis and although other fish keep themselves awayfrom him Tic retains his powerful relation with Foolis to the end of the story.Willow is also one of the other characters of the story. He is the symbol of shallowmindedand pleasure-seeking individuals who lives in the moment and the far futuredoes not have any meaning by him.The pond in which the fish live is the symbol of the current situation (status quo)that individuals can deliver themselves from it by making sincere efforts and reach abetter future and the depths of the blue sea.Reading this book is pleasurable for all age classes and contains incredibleeducational and motivational themes.
