Im Folgenden soll analysiert werden, mit Hilfe welcher stützender Fakten und welcher Methoden die französischen Propagandisten eine Fassade aufbauten, die bei den deutschen Soldaten so viel Vertrauen erweckte, dass sie dadurch einen gewinnenden Einfluss ausüben konnte. Die zwei Hauptakteure der französischen Flugblattpropaganda gegen die Deutschen zwischen 1914 und 1918, Jean-Jacques Waltz alias Hansi und Ernest Tonnelat, stellten 1922 ihre Vorgehensweisen und Hintergründe der Flugblattgestaltung in einem ausführlichen Werk A travers les lignes ennemies. Trois années d'offensive contre le moral allemand dar. Dieses Buch dient als Basis für die vorliegende Arbeit. Sozusagen die deutsche Gegenseite wird beschrieben durch Hans Thimmes Buch Weltkrieg ohne Waffen - Die Propaganda der Westmächte gegen Deutschland, ihre Wirkung und ihre Abwehr von 1932. In seinen Betrachtungen beschäftigt er sich intensiv mit Hansi und Tonnelat. Zu dem Vergleich dieser beiden Bücher kommen in der vorliegenden Arbeit eine Analyse weiterer Autoren sowie eine eigene Betrachtung der Flugblätter mit republikanischem Inhalt. Diese und dazugehörige Informationen entstammen Klaus Kirchners Flugblattsammlung Flugblätter aus Frankreich 1914-1918 von 1992. Mit den Auswertungen soll geprüft werden, welche Strategien und Inhalte die Franzosen zur moralischen Kriegsführung unter der Fahne der Revolutionäre genutzt haben, um eine Niederlage Deutschlands herbeizuführen
