Hartmanns Roman aus editionsphilologischer Sicht, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit werden die Darstellung der wenigen Frauen in Hartmanns-"Erec" analysiert. Zum einen wird die optische Erscheinung der Frauen und damit einhergehend auch die Kleidung sowie deren Farben und Materialien herausgearbeitet. Zugleich werden Charakterzüge der Frauen anhand passender Textstellen aufgezeigt und mögliche Wertungen durch den Erzähler oder durch andere Figuren herangezogen. Als Erec und Enite zum ersten Mal gemeinsam an den Artushof kommen, werden sie feierlich empfangen. Obwohl viele der Ritter der Tafelrunde keinen Einfluss auf die Handlung ausüben, werden ihre Namen und ihre Herkunftsorte über mehrere Seiten aufgelistet. Demgegenüber stehen weibliche Figuren, deren Auftritte relevant für den Verlauf der Handlung sind, sie aber dennoch namenlos bleiben, wie zum Beispiel die Jungfrau aus dem Wald oder die 80 Witwen. Auch im Vergleich zum Originaltitel Erec et Enide von Chrétien de Troyes, rückt Hartmann einzig und allein Erec in den Mittelpunkt, da er Enite im Titel nicht nennt. Daraus könnte eine ungleiche Wertung von Mann und Frau geschlossen werden. Ist es nicht Enite, die Erec mehrmals vor dem Tod bewahrt? Heilt ihn nicht Fâmurgâns Pflaster, das im Besitz von Königin Ginower und Guivreiz' Schwestern ist? Welche Wirkung haben diese Frauen und welche Rolle spielen sie in der Geschichte? Der Umfang dieser Arbeit lässt eine Beschreibung jeder weiblichen Figur nicht zu. Als Beispiel wird Enite deutlicher im Fokus stehen. Insbesondere die Szene, in der Erecs erste Begegnung mit Enite und ihrer Familie beschrieben wird, dient hierbei als Grundlage.
