About the Book

Die vorliegende Studie beschäftigt sich mit dem aktuellen Wissensstand zu frauenspezifischer Suchtarbeit und geht im Besonderen auf die derzeit bestehenden niederschwelligen frauengerechten Angebote und Institutionen in Wien ein, die sich an opioidkonsumierende Mädchen und Frauen wenden. Frauenspezifische Projekte sind nach feministischen Arbeitsprinzipien gestaltet und werden von Frauen für Frauen angeboten. Niedrigschwellig bedeutet in diesem Zusammenhang, dass der Zugang zu den Angeboten nicht von vorgegebenen Zielen abhängt, keine Terminvereinbarung erfolgen muss und die Angebote anonym sowie kostenlos gestaltet sind. Die empirische Forschung dieser Arbeit, die aus qualitativen Expertinneninterviews und einer Fragebogenerhebung unter Klientinnen besteht, bezieht sich einerseits auf die Konzepte und die Nutzung der derzeit bestehenden Projekte sowie auf vorhandene Netzwerke und Arbeitskreise; andererseits wird die Lebenssituation der Klientinnen und der Bekanntheitsgrad der derzeitigen Angebote erhoben. Zurzeit gibt es nur eine einzige Einrichtung in Wien, die ausschließlich frauengerecht und niederschwellig arbeitet. Drogenkonsumierende Frauen stellen dort jedoch nur einen Teil der Zielgruppe dar. Gemischtgeschlechtliche Einrichtungen der Wiener Drogenhilfe führen teils im Rahmen ihrer Tätigkeit zusätzlich frauenspezifische Angebote, die wie Drop-In-Cafés gestaltet sind und nur einmal pro Woche stattfinden. Diese Projekte sind in der Drogenstraßenszene größtenteils bekannt, werden zufrieden stellend genutzt und stellen einen wichtigen Teil der Suchtarbeit dar. Es finden sich jedoch auch Kritikpunkte und Lücken, die als Basis für die Erarbeitung neuer Konzepte dienen können. Für die (Weiter-)Entwicklung von frauengerechten Konzepten ist jedoch eine Vernetzung unter den einzelnen Einrichtungen von Nöten, die derzeit nur beschränkt stattfindet.
About the Author: Daniela Weißengruber, Mag.a (FH) für sozialwissenschaftliche Berufe, hat ihr Studium "Sozialarbeit (im städtischen Raum)" am FH Campus Wien im Januar 2008 mit Auszeichnung abgeschlossen und ist derzeit als Sozialarbeiterin in einem Wiener Frauenhaus beschäftigt.
