About the Author: After experiencing the death of her father, a divorce, her middle son's drug rehab and the death of her oldest son, Paula believed their must be more to reclaiming a beautiful life after loss than simply 'acceptance'. Through her investigation as equal parts woo-woo yogi and hard-fact scientist she went on a search to find what gives our losses purpose and how to grow from these experiences. This book is the raw, witty and honest account of that investigation. The book is best paired with dark chocolate, fresh-brewed tea and a highlighter to bring out the full flavor of it's contents. Enjoy! Paula has become a nationally known speaker, yogi and blogger on the topic of grief, especially the difficult topic of child loss. Her blog post titled 'What I Wish Other People Understood About Losing A Child' has over 1.3 million views and continues to be comforting and inspirational to parents around the world. Paula has a master's degree in Exercise Physiology and has previously taught at Metro State University in Denver. She is also wellness coach and has taught yoga for the past thirteen years. It was her twenty five years in the health and wellness industry that made her realize the lack of mind/body support and awareness in the grief community. As a result, she teaches Yoga for Grief workshops, speaks at national events on the topics of resilience and of the importance of wellness in the healing of grief. She is a popular speaker at military loss events including Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). She has also been a speaker at the Resilience Institute Summit national conference and Life Source Organ & Tissue Donation.
