About the Book

Congratulations on having a job. Your Boss will give you a paycheck at the end of every pay period that you probably know will never be enough to live life the way you want, but you are required to surrender your life for it. The expectation in most companies (perhaps yours) is to do whatever is asked, give whatever is needed, and most of all, don't ever think of what else you could do instead of trading your life for a paycheck, regardless of the size check. In other words, keep your head down, shut-up and just work. From the moment you accepted your job, it was understood (or existed as an unspoken rule) that an employee's life (your life) is to be spent making someone else's dreams a reality while leaving your dreams on the shelf to die. That's right, your life in exchange for a check. A better way to think of it is, The Cost of Your Dreams is the amount of your check. Your Boss feels like it's a good trade; that's why you got the job in the first place. I know because I was exactly where you are right now. My supervisor often acted like it wasn't unreasonable to subtly ask for 40, 50, or even 60 hours a week and some weekends, and my reward or thank you was my same paycheck. There was just one problem: no amount of money could silence the question I kept asking myself, which was, is this all there is to life? The question nagged me, and I'm willing to wager you have probably asked yourself, the universe, or even your friends and family, why are you still not satisfied when you should be by all measures of society? If you are anything like me, you keep trying (but failing) to stretch your paycheck to cover all your present-day obligations, such as housing, tuition, car payment, insurance, and a ton of other things that need to be paid for. Even the dog needs food purchased for him. Most paychecks are often depleted before many even get a chance to see it, let alone save for their future. As a result, you are working on a job that offers limited financial freedom (none really) and requires too much time when you could be doing what you love. Such as spending time with family, friends and creating experiences.
Having a job leaves minimal opportunity and even a need for an individual to explore the gift inside them. That is partial because the company's owner decided to build their gift into a company and has you employed to give that gift to satisfy a need in exchange for money. In short, you are expected to, most often, explore, build and offer your "Bosses" gift to their clients to satisfy their needs in exchange for their money.
The question is, when will it be time to look inside of you to discover the gift that has been placed in you for safekeeping, developed, and utilized to help individuals looking for an answer to their problems? After all, each of us has a gift, but so few uncover what that gift is, primarily because we were never really taught that we, for one, possess a gift and, secondly, that our gift is capable of giving us the life that we desire with no limitations. The only real restrictions our gifts have are the ones we place on them.
If you are ready to experience the Depth and Power of Your Gift and the type of life that is available to you, then say yes, and prepare to go from The Street you Work on, To The Life, Your Life.
