About the Author: My career is the result of many mentors, great parents and an untraditional secondary education. Though I did not complete my bachelors program, (I tried college at 18 and it wasn't for me...at the time). Still, I've attended over 1000 public lectures, listened to 10,000 digital speeches, and read over 100 books on business and personal development. Reading has been the key to everything (including audiobooks) for growing my personal belief as I read about how major pillars in history have battled the same self-esteem and confidence battles that I was fighting. Reading has established the foundation for an understanding of human dynamics and it continues to be my greatest source for change. Networking events have helped me develop my people skills in a safe place with people who were doing the same. 3-4 nights a week, I would attend seminars in business, leadership, and organizational development, where I would practice asking great questions and listen for what I could learn. I did this from 22-26 years of age. You could say this was my college education as my professors were a network of business men and women who had accomplished great heights in business while most also had blossoming families, which I admired. They provided me with a bat line straight to their counsel on any matter I needed to discuss. They taught me about chivalry, leadership, and legacy. And about work ethic and accomplishment. They've added to my family's amazing intrinsic influence for business and empathy and all of this is why, I believe, I am capable of running major companies and I do not worry about job security. Whatever the job is, I can do it, because I've been a pizza boy, plumber, salesman, marketer, banker, tech recruiter, and professional athlete. Through all of this I've learned the most important piece is how we communicate with each other. How you train your new colleague? How do you find new ways to solve old problems? How do you reward innovation? How do we bring people together? Clarify your vision and keep it in front of you. Untraditional education has helped me chisel my ever-growing vision out of what's possible, while always keeping the bow aimed at the life I truly desire.
