As per syllabus of West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT)The book is primarily intended for the first-year undergraduate students of all branches of engineering as per the course curriculum of the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). It is a comprehensive textbook on fundamental concepts of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. It gives a detailed description of the theory along with the systematic applications of laws of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics to engineering problems. The text is amply illustrated with worked-out examples, tables and diagrams to enable the students to comprehend the subject with ease. It is designed to take students from an elementary level to a level of sound understanding required for the analysis of practical problems.
