About the Book
Abruptly he fell silent and studied her, his gaze darker than the night sky. Winnie's screams died in her throat as she found herself lost in his haunting yet mesmerizing eyes, which seemed to convey a thousand unspoken words. Unable to resist, Winnie's hand slowly reached out to touch his handsome face.
She traced his sharp features with delicate fingertips, admiring his striking eyebrows, strong nose, and chiseled jawline. It was as if she were in a trance, captivated by his striking appearance, but something in the back of her mind urged caution.
It seemed as though the alcohol had emboldened her, washing away any inhibitions. In that moment, her actions felt incredibly right, dangerously tempting. Kelvin remained silent, his eyes fixed on her as she touched his face, exploring every curve and line. Her hand hovered at his mouth, hesitating for only a second before her fingers delicately caressed his soft, thin lips.
Kelvin's voice was a strained, husky whisper as he said. "Winnie you might want to stop doing that." Despite his words, she could sense that he was struggling to control himself, and that realization filled her with a sense of satisfaction. He wasn't immune to her touch, just as she wasn't immune to his presence.
The connection between them was delicately balanced, a game of temptation and restraint.
A mischievous smile spread across Winnie's face as she decided to tease him, leaning in to place a soft kiss on his jawline, kelvin let out a low growl, his frustration palpable.
"What if I don't?" she asked, her voice a captivating purr as her lips curled into a seductive smile.
He grinned back, a hint of danger in his voice. "Are you purposely teasing babe? Don't test a man's patience like this. You might get burned." He bent forward, his breath warm against her ear as he whispered, punctuating his words with a slow, tantalizing bite.
Winnie shivered, passion coursing through her veins. Lifting her gaze to meet his, she replied in a soft whisper, "what if I want to get burned?"
As Winnie's spoke, she saw heat waves dance across kelvin's deep obsidian- colored eyes, an intense desire evident in his gaze. She could sense him teetering on the edge of self- control, the heat emanating from his eyes almost palpable. Suddenly, he groaned and tightened his hold on her, revealing the extent of his struggle to maintain composure. With his eyes closed, he took a deep breath, regaining control before he turned and walked towards the bedroom.
"His voice was gentle but firm as he spoke, "Winnie, you're drunk. Let's not mess around."
Although Winnie knew she should be grateful that kelvin hadn't taken advantage of her vulnerability, she couldn't help but feel disappointed. With sadness weighting heavily on her, she yearned for a distraction, but kelvin paid no heed to her protests. Gently, he laid her down on the bed and bent down to remove her heels.
"Sleep," he commanded, covering her with the duvet before turning to leave. But Winnie's body was ablaze with a restless energy, and sleep was the last thing she wanted. She leapt out of the bed, her voice urgent as she called out, "wait! Where are you going?"
Without looking back, kelvin replied, "away from you." His words stung, and Winnie's face fell into a deep frown.
"Stay with me, please," Winnie pleaded. "I can't sleep alone; my body feels restless and..."
"Can you please be quiet!" kelvin interjected sharply, turning to face her. His raised voice made her flinch in fear.
Noticing her reaction, kelvin closed his eyes for a moment, attempting to calm his racing heart. When he opened them again, he stepped closer, his gaze reflecting a mix of desire and weariness. "Can't you see what I'm trying to avoid?" THE GAME(sleep with my husband) GET YOUR COPY NOW!!!
